Hi!

I am currently a Master’s student at Carnegie Mellon University, Entertainment Technology Center. Focusing on human–computer interaction through diverse fabrication and creative technology methods.

I enjoy combining physical prototypes with virtual worlds, creating engaging experiences for users, including multi-sensory VR/MR applications and interdisciplinary research involving computational fabrication tools. Now I am conducting an independent research project under the mentorship of Professor Scott Hudson and Dr. Lea Albaugh.

Previously, I was a visiting research student in the HCI-Engineering Group at CSAIL, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an HCI research intern at the Future Laboratory, Tsinghua University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering from Soochow University (Suzhou, China), where I was instructed by Professor Zhijuan Pan at the National Engineering Laboratory for Modern Silk, China.

A novel task-oriented development platform crafted to aid semi-professionals in navigating the diverse requirements of potential application scenarios and effectively prototyping ideas. Mul-O facilitates the swift association and integration of olfactory experiences into functional designs, system integrations, and concept validations. Comprising a web UI for task-oriented development, an API server for seamless third-party integration, and wireless olfactory display hardware, Mul-O significantly enhances the ideation and prototyping process in multisensory tasks. This was verified by a 15-day workshop attended by 30 participants.
